About Jack

A little about me

I’m Jack, a counsellor and registered member of the BACP. I work with adults across the UK who feel overwhelmed, burnt out, stuck, or like life has quietly become too much to keep on top of.

People often say I am easy to talk to. Just normal. I take that as a good sign, it's nice to be considered normal for once! Therapy, in my view, should feel like a real conversation with someone who gets it, not something clinical or overly polished. You do not need to perform, explain yourself perfectly, or have everything figured out before you start.

Most of the people I work with are dealing with the pressure of modern life. That constant feeling of needing to keep up, hold it together, and push through, even when something underneath is not working. Many have ADHD, suspect they might, or feel like their brain just does not fit the world they are in.

If something in your life is not working, that is enough to start.

A little about me

I’m Jack, a counsellor and registered member of the BACP. I work with adults across the UK who feel overwhelmed, burnt out, stuck, or like life has quietly become too much to keep on top of.

Most of the people I work with are dealing with the pressure of modern life. That constant feeling of needing to keep up, hold it together, and push through, even when something underneath is not working. Many have ADHD, suspect they might, or feel like their brain just does not fit the world they are in.

Alongside my core counselling training, I have completed specialist training in adult ADHD through leading expert Dr James Kustow. This has shaped a lot of my work, especially around overwhelm, burnout, motivation, identity, and the impact of living in a world that does not always match how your brain works.

Over the years I have worked with a wide range of clients through both private practice and organisations like Mind, supporting people with ADHD, autism, addiction, anxiety, grief, and feeling stuck or lost. What I have learned is that most people are not broken. They are overwhelmed, worn down, or trying to cope in ways that made sense at the time.

What you can expect from me is simple:

A calm, steady space with straightforward conversations, no jargon
Someone who actually listens
Work that fits around your real life

You can bring messy thoughts, unfinished sentences, or nothing much at all. You do not need to have the right words. You do not need a diagnosis. You do not need to be “ready”.

If something in your life is not working, that is enough to start.
