Everything shared is confidential, creating your safe space. Limits explained upfront and in our agreement:
Risk of serious harm to self/others (I'll discuss first if possible).
Safeguarding children/vulnerable adults.
Serious crime/terrorism prevention.
Court orders.
Supervision (monthly, BACP-required) uses anonymised details only—your name stays protected.
Privacy and Data Protection
Minimal data kept securely (encrypted, password-protected). ICO registered (ZC100818), UK GDPR/Data Protection Act 2018 compliant. Rights: access/correct/erase data; 7-year retention post-therapy, then secure deletion. Full policy on request; breaches notified immediately.
Insurance
BACP-registered (417907) with Professional Indemnity Insurance via HIS Counselling & Psychotherapy (covers negligence/malpractice) and regular clinical supervision. Proof on request—meets ethical standards for online ADHD/neurodivergence work.
Working Agreement Highlights
Co-created, adaptable. Key terms:
Sessions: 50 mins, weekly (flexible), online via secure Zoom/GDPR platform.
Fees: £60/session, bank transfer 24+ hrs prior (details: Jack Bartlett Counselling Services, sort 04-00-06, acct 29258438).
Cancellations: 24 hrs notice; <24 hrs/no-show = full fee (discretion for emergencies).
Contact: Admin only between sessions (07356 046766 / jack@counsellorjack.com); crises to NHS 111/Samaritans 116123/999.
Ending: Your choice anytime (1-2 sessions notice ideal); therapist-initiated if needed (e.g., scope mismatch).
Reviews/holidays: Mutual notice.
Signed digitally pre-first session.
