FAQs

Some of the more common questions I'm asked

Do I need an ADHD diagnosis?
No. You do not need a formal diagnosis. I work with people who are diagnosed, those who suspect ADHD, and those who simply recognise similar patterns in themselves.

What if I do not know what to say?
That is completely okay. You do not need to come prepared. We can begin wherever you are, even if that is just a feeling, a sense of overwhelm, or not knowing where to start.

Is online therapy effective?
Yes. Many people find online therapy more accessible and less overwhelming than travelling to in-person sessions. It allows you to attend from a space that feels comfortable and familiar.

How do I get started?
You can book a free introductory call using the button below. This is a relaxed space to ask questions and see if working together feels right.

How long do I need to commit for?

There is no fixed commitment. Some people come for a few sessions, others stay longer. We can review regularly and decide together what feels helpful.

Is therapy confidential?

Yes, with some limits. I will explain confidentiality clearly before we begin. There are rare situations where I may need to share information, for example if there is a serious risk of harm to you or someone else, or if required by law.

What issues can I bring?
You can bring anything that feels important to you. This might include ADHD-related challenges, stress, burnout, anxiety, low self-esteem, grief, addiction, relationship difficulties, or feeling stuck.

Is my data kept safe?

Yes. Your personal information is handled in line with UK GDPR. I will explain how your data is stored, used, and protected before we begin.

What if I am not sure you are the right fit?
That is completely fine. Finding the right counsellor matters. The free introductory call is a chance to get a sense of how it feels to talk together, with no pressure to continue.

How much do sessions cost?

Sessions are £60 and last 50 minutes. Payment details will be shared when booking.

What is your cancellation policy?

If you need to cancel or reschedule, I ask for at least 24 hours notice. Sessions cancelled with less notice may be charged in full.

What if I am in crisis?
I am not able to offer emergency or crisis support. If you are in immediate danger or need urgent help, please contact your GP, NHS 111, or emergency services by calling 999.
